– Cortana, the personal digital assistant that makes searching and finding the right information easy.
– Microsoft Edge, the all-new browser that’s more personal, responsive and productive across all Windows 10 devices.
– An integrated Xbox app, which means consumers get Xbox titles, game streaming across devices, and the best of Xbox Live.
– The return of the fast and familiar Start Menu, providing quick one-click access to the functions and files that people use most.
Microsoft is paying tribute to the spirit of Windows 10 through the Upgrade Your World initiative, designed to celebrate those who inspire and empower others. Microsoft will partner with 10 global and 100 local non-profits on projects and initiatives to upgrade the world through a combination of technology, a $10 million donation and the development of campaigns to raise awareness.
Microsoft and its partners are inviting people around the world to nominate the 10th global non-profit. Get involved and share how you’re impacting your community using #UpgradeYourWorld.
Eligible customers who haven’t reserved their download will see a notification in the taskbar on their device, alerting them the upgrade is ready to be installed or details on getting the upgrade through the Windows Store.
